We're talking about image generation
The Snapdragon X Elite platform has already performed well against the background of the Core i7-13800H and Apple M2 Pro. Now Qualcomm itself has demonstrated how its new SoC can be an order of magnitude faster than the latest Core Ultra 7 155H.
In this case we are no longer talking about a benchmark, but about a very real application. True, performance does not concern the processor part or even the GPU. At least in the case of Snapdragon X Elite.
We are talking about generating images using the Stable Diffusion 1.5 neural network. In one mode, a laptop based on the Qualcomm platform can generate images three times faster than a laptop on the new Intel processor. In another mode, the difference is already 12-fold.
On the one hand, image generation in particular and AI in general will be increasingly integrated into Windows and other operating systems. On the other hand — Most tasks are still performed on the servers of the companies that supply these software products. But how the Snapdragon X Elite will behave against the Core Ultra 7 155H in regular applications is still unclear.
