The price is about the same as a regular Fold6
Samsung seems to be able to bring to market a thinner version of the Galaxy Z Fold6 Slim folding smartphone.
This was announced by Ross Young, founder of the research companies Display Supply Chain Consultants and DisplaySearch. He says the Fold6 Slim could launch in the fourth quarter of this year. The new product will have a larger display than the regular Fold6, but will be thinner. This version will not have stylus support.
Interestingly, this model will cost about the same as the regular Fold6. Probably, they will still be slightly different, but in general these are models of the same price category.
Samsung apparently liked the modern folding smartphones Huawei and Honor, which are much thinner than Samsung’s own models, so we’ll get Slim.
Thanks to his work, Young has access to information related to the screens, so he often knows more than ordinary insiders. In particular, he spoke about 120 Hz screens in the iPhone 12 Pro and 60 Hz in the lower-end devices of the line.
