But there are the same number of stream processors
The Samsung Exynos 2400 platform appeared in the benchmark again, but now thanks to this we have learned new details about the GPU.
It turned out that the Xclipse 940 has the same number of computational units as the Xclipse 920. That is, 6 CU units or 384 stream processors. But this does not mean that there are no changes.
Firstly, the RDNA 2 architecture has given way to the more modern RDNA 3, which in itself should help improve performance. Secondly, the GPU frequency has doubled, to 1095 MHz! Let us remember that the very low frequency of the Xclipse 920 was one of the main reasons for the low performance. Apparently, Samsung solved the overheating problem, which made it possible to greatly increase the frequency.
In fact, the first tests we've seen indicate that the Xclipse 940 may well be close to the Adreno 750 in Snapdragon 8 Gen 3.
