Spare parts are enough to quickly ramp up production
A new report from South Korea reveals the production capacity of the Samsung Galaxy Ring. Samsung's Galaxy Ring wearable device, unveiled in January, is scheduled to launch in the second half of this year. It has already aroused great interest, and the manufacturer is going to ensure demand for the new product.
Smart rings have started to gain traction lately, so The Elec reports that Samsung plans to initially produce 400,000 units of the Galaxy Ring to meet demand in line with the South Korean brand's expectations. Mass production of the wearable device is expected to begin in May.
Samsung has the ability to expand production if demand exceeds their expectations. Production will be ramped up due to the small form factor and the availability of sufficient spare parts. The Galaxy Ring is expected to be shown in late July or early August at the Unpacked event dedicated to foldable devices, tablets and next-generation smartwatches. The publication also reports that sales could begin sometime in August.
Samsung has now confirmed that the Galaxy Ring will be available in nine different sizes and three color options. It will have nine days of battery life. The smallest size will have a 14.5 mAh battery, while the largest model will have a 21.5 mAh battery. Apart from Samsung devices, the gadget will also be compatible with other Android phones, but will not work with iOS.
