And the flagship Galaxy S24 played an important role there

Samsung Electronics yesterday published its report on the results of the next financial quarter, where it noted a huge increase in operating profit against the backdrop of the terrible performance of last year. It turned out that smartphones played a very important role here.

Operating profit for the quarter amounted to $4.8 billion. And more than half — Credit goes to the smartphone division. More precisely, we are talking about 53% or $2.54 billion. At the same time, the company itself notes that sales of mid-budget smartphones have decreased, but sales of the flagship Galaxy S24 line, on the contrary, have been very good.

There are no exact sales figures for the Galaxy S24, but in any case they are clearly very good. In addition, the strategy of using two SoCs probably allowed the increase in profits, since the Exynos 2400 for Samsung itself should be significantly cheaper than the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3.
