Hongqi sales in Russia amount to tens of hundreds, but not thousands
Hongqi cars were supposed to become an alternative to the brands of the big German three that left Russia — Audi, BMW and Mercedes, but if a replacement came about, it was only partial: so far, on average, only about 350 Hongqi cars are sold per month, as evidenced by the statistics «Avtostat-info».
During the first quarter of this year, 1068 Hongqi cars were sold in Russia, the hit being the Hongqi H5 sedan — it accounted for more than half of the demand. In second place — crossover Hongqi HS5, closes the top 3 popular models large sedan Hongqi H9.
Compared with last year, Hongqi sales in Russia soared 19.7 times (only 54 cars were sold in the first quarter of 2023), but there is no overwhelming advantage over the big German three: for example, in the first quarter in Russia, 331 Mercedes-Benzes alone were sold (according to AEB statistics).
