The Ministry of Industry and Trade will conduct an inspection

There are no declared domestic components in Russian Life Tech desktop computers intended for government agencies, as CNews writes, showing photographs of the devices. In 2023, the amount of government orders for these PCs exceeded 100 million rubles.

Devices under the guise of Russian computers included in the register of radio-electronic products of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, were supplied without a departmental conclusion. CNews provides examples of two disassembled Life Tech PCs.

Although the Life Tech RS-Line system unit received 180 points in the register of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, it follows from the examination report of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation that components, such as the motherboard from «Elpitech» and an SSD drive from GS Group were not found inside. Instead, the computers are equipped with a B450M-VDH-PLUS motherboard and a Life Tech SSD drive, which do not have a conclusion from the Ministry of Industry and Trade and are not in the register of Russian products.

Some suppliers enter non-Russian names into the GISP to deceive customers, CNews reports, adding that this directory is not linked to the Ministry of Industry and Trade registry. Without taking into account foreign components, the Life Tech system unit received only 80 points, which is not enough to be included in the registry, which requires at least 100 points.

«Elpitech» and GS Group said they do not cooperate with Life Tech. «PC groups» could purchase GS Group products in order to get on the register, and then replace the components with Chinese analogues — Vice President of GS Group Fedor Boyarkov thinks so.

The supplier of motherboards and SSD drives turned out to be ABS-Techno, an electronics store whose founder owns 50% of PC Group. The company received two government orders, but was unable to fulfill obligations under one of them.

CNews notices the similarity of the motherboard with the Chinese Onda — with the difference only in color. The Ministry of Industry and Trade promises to conduct an inspection, since a conclusion on Russian production is issued on the basis of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and the department intends to tighten measures for the selection and verification of devices.
