The service operates in 87 Russian cities, as well as in Minsk
The Association of Micromobility Operators, which unites various kick-sharing companies and similar services, has launched a special chatbot on Telegram to receive complaints about users of rental electric scooters.
Chatbot &scooters: public control» allows kick-sharing companies to collect information about federal rule-breakers. According to Rossiyskaya Gazeta, the service operates in 87 Russian cities, as well as in Minsk.
During operation in test mode since April 2024, users reported one and a half thousand violations. Over a thousand of them were related to improper parking, and users also complained about driving together, traveling by minors, and continuing to drive in places where the driver had to walk.
Director of the Association of Micromobility Operators Ksenia Erdman said:
Less than 2% of kick-sharing users violate traffic and service rules, but the industry is interested in reducing this figure to zero. Already now, services can detect any trip and, accordingly, identify the violator. Citizens' complaints are already helping with this, and thanks to the bot, it is now possible to report violations even easier and faster than before. The bot is convenient because you don’t need to download each operator’s application in order to report violators on the scooter of a specific service. You just need to activate the chat in a popular messenger and write about an incident with your SIM. Thanks to this simple and convenient scheme, kicksharing companies will have millions of assistants for recording violations.
After launching the chatbot in Telegram, you will need to select the country and city, the name of the kick-sharing service, indicate the type of violation, address and, if possible, the number of the electric scooter. You can attach photos and videos. The information will be sent to the administration of the relevant service so that it can take action.
