Russian developers from the Don State Technical University (DSTU) are creating a domestic analogue of the urban planning simulator SimCity, which corresponds to traditional family values.
Journalists «Izvestia» They said that the game is at an early stage of development, but a demo version will be released in the summer.
A game is being created based on Unreal Engine 5. So far, there are no city planning simulators on this engine on the market.
Now we have a prototype ready, in which gamers will not only have to build cities, but also monitor the fate of its inhabitants. Each virtual citizen has unique technical characteristics: he has his own gender, age, level of education and health.
Players will have to build schools and universities, since the level of education of citizens affects how well the city itself is governed. The higher the level of knowledge of the virtual population, the more successful the metropolis will be.

The authors note that the game will be greatly influenced by the characteristics of the townspeople and as a result, the gameplay will be based on the society of the city, and not its technical component.
At the same time, the game will correspond to traditional family values, which means, among other things, that there will be no representatives of the LGBT movement in the game (recognized as an extremist organization and banned in the Russian Federation).

At the moment, the developers are working on a version for PC and plan to release it not only on the Russian VK Play platform, but also on Steam and Epic Games. In this case, the game will be distributed according to the Free-to-play model, that is, free, but it will involve in-game purchases.
