Updated: the agreement has already been signed.
Today, April 15, an important event will take place – Russia and Belarus will sign an agreement on the joint production of a light multi-purpose aircraft «Osvey».
This was announced by the Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation Mikhail Mishustin during a meeting with Prime Minister of Belarus Roman Golovchenko on Monday in Moscow: «Another document that will be signed today is an intergovernmental agreement on the joint production of a light multi-purpose aircraft "Osway". The Union State has a large territory. We, of course, need the most modern aircraft of different classes and types for transporting both passengers and cargo. Therefore, we are embarking on deep cooperation in the field of aircraft manufacturing on the basis of mutual benefit and equal use of technologies, and, very importantly, common production capacities».
Mikhail Mishustin added that such decisions are very important in the Union State: «I believe that this is exactly what the citizens of both Russia and Belarus expect from us».
