The world's first working foldable smartphone with two hinges was presented by TCL CSOT (TCL China Star Optoelectronics Technology) at the Society for Information Display (SID) 2024. This happened five years after in 2019 year, the company showed a non-working prototype with a similar design.

The phone uses a display that bends in two places. When open, its diagonal is 7.85 inches. It has a unique mechanism that allows it to be folded both in the shape of the letter G and in the shape of Z.

The smartphone received a Sensor Under Panel (SUP), which provides three-dimensional facial recognition using sensors installed under the display. This function is used for mobile payments and device unlocking.

The panel supports LTPO, which allows you to adjust the refresh rate from 1Hz to 120Hz and ensures low power consumption. TCL says the display is designed to last.
