Details will be announced later
This year promises to be an extremely important one for the famous German automaker Porsche, which promises to launch four updated model lines.
«Porsche is moving forward with its transformation and will refresh four of its six model series by the end of 2024, — said Porsche Deputy Chairman Lutz Meschke. — The comprehensive renewal of our product portfolio requires great effort from the entire Porsche team. But our investments and launch of new products today — this is our profit tomorrow».
Porsche delivered 77,640 vehicles in the first quarter of the year, which is 3.9% less than in the first quarter of 2023. This is not due to a drop in interest in the company's models. In fact, deliveries rose 36.7% in Germany and 8.8% in the rest of Europe to 20,044 units. The decline can be largely attributed to a 23.2% drop in shipments to North America, excluding Mexico, due to customs delays.
Sales of the brand's models also fell in China by 23.5% to 16,340 units, compared with 21,365 sold in the first quarter of 2023.
The Cayenne remains Porsche's best-selling model, with 28,025 units sold in the first quarter, up 19.8% year-on-year. Sales of the 911 jumped 16.5% to 12,892 units, while demand for the 718 Boxster and Cayman rose 20.1% to 5,772 units. Deliveries of the Macan, Panamera and Taycan fell 13.8%, 27.6% and 53.7% respectively.
