AMD is preparing Ryzen 8000GE processors, which will feature low power consumption.
Data about four such APUs has appeared on the Internet. That is, each of the Ryzen 8000G models will have a GE version with the same basic parameters, but reduced frequencies.
The data is taken from Asus, and the company indicates a certain average base frequency. If in the case of older APUs with Zen 4 cores this figure corresponds to the usual base frequency, then the lower models have Zen 4 and Zen 4c cores, and the latter operate at lower frequencies, so what Asus indicates is slightly different from what will be specified in the specifications.
In particular, the Ryzen 7 8700GE will operate at a frequency of 3.65 GHz, the Ryzen 5 8600GE will have a base frequency of 3.9 GHz, the Ryzen 5 8500GE will have a base frequency of 3.4 GHz, and the younger Ryzen 3 8300GE will start at 3.5 GHz. TDP in all cases will be only 35 W.
Whether such processors will be available in retail is unknown, but given the presence of a very powerful iGPU in the older model and a very powerful one in the 8600GE, the processors are quite unique in their TDP.
