Google has decided to make a unified function for exchanging data between Android devices by teaming up with Samsung.

As a result, since 2020 Google has been promoting its Nearby Share feature, but now it has replaced it with Quick Share, which was developed and has been used by Samsung for a long time.

More specifically, Google says the companies collaborated to create a new tool, but took the name from Samsung's product. As before, it works with Android and Chrome OS, but the search giant says it's working with different companies to bring Quick Share to Windows PCs.

Quick Share will begin rolling out to supported devices starting next month.
