Nvidia's next generation of AI accelerators will consume 1 kW

B200 accelerator will be released in 2025

Nvidia is due to introduce next-generation AI accelerators this year. But it looks like they will only become available to customers next year.

At least Dell claims that the B200 accelerator will be released next year. And, apparently, it will consume about 1 kW!

Obviously, no matter how we look at the changes, we're excited about what's happening with the H200 and its performance improvements. We're excited about what's to come with the B100 and B200, and we think this is another opportunity to show engineering confidence. Based on performance in terms of heat transfer, you really don't need direct liquid cooling to achieve 1000W power density per GPU. This will happen next year with B200.

Recall that the H100 will be replaced not by the B200, but by the B100. Perhaps it will still be released this year. We have not heard anything about the B200 before, but it could be some kind of modification of the B100 or a solution based on both the B100 GPU and the processor part.
