Nvidia is placing urgent orders at TSMC factories, wanting to quickly deliver new AI accelerators to China

Apparently, the US has not yet introduced new sanctions

Nvidia is rushing to supply as many AI accelerators to China as possible, apparently expecting even more stringent export controls from the US.

Nvidia has reportedly placed extra-urgent orders, called Super Hot Runs, with TSCM, which will begin fulfillment as early as the first quarter of 2024. Nvidia probably paid well for this, but TrendForce doesn't say anything about it.

Recall that after the latest sanctions imposed by the United States, Nvidia introduced the HGX H20, L20 PCIe and L2 PCIe accelerators, again created specifically for China. However, after this, the US Secretary of Commerce warned Nvidia against such actions, making it clear that every time the company creates some new accelerators specifically to circumvent sanctions, these products will be closely examined by the department.
