The Embracer Group holding, which is going through hard times, without much mental anguish, sold 100% of the shares of the Shiver Entertainment studio to a Japanese company
Nintendo bought from Embracer Group 100% of the shares of the Shiver Entertainment studio, which was responsible for the Switch versions of Mortal Kombat 1 and Hogwarts Legacy.
In its press release release, Nintendo noted that Shiver Entertainment will continue to operate in the same format, porting games not only for the Nintendo Switch, but also other platforms.
Shiver Entertainment became Nintendo's first major acquisition since 2022, when the company absorbed
Dynamo Pictures (now Nintendo Pictures) and SRD.
