A new Sony patent talks about video games that use artificial intelligence to guide you through certain areas.
It seems like a joke, but the patent actually exists. It concerns video games that can end on their own, without any user intervention – he becomes a mere spectator.
Although the patent seems absurd, the explanations fit into its context. Video games have side quests that can be difficult, annoying or repetitive, but which unlock interesting items. There may also be areas that are too difficult for the player, or others that are better viewed from the outside without risking losing story elements or dialogue during combat.
In all of these In cases, the patent provides for an AI-based system to autonomously navigate the relevant sections. The AI imitates the user's play style until the user decides to pick up the controller again.
Since this is an unusual patent, its application in reality is not guaranteed. This decision will cause a lot of controversy on the part of some users, and will also help cheaters who can simplify their path to the platinum trophy.
