Microsoft has decided to cancel the “survival” game introduced by Blizzard in 2022. It could be the studio's first unique project since the release of Overwatch in 2016.
As Xbox president of studios and game content Matt Booty explained, the company simply needed resources and people for other promising projects in the early stages of production.
Journalists at The Verge also reported on Microsoft's plans to lay off 1,900 workers from Activision Blizzard, Xbox and ZeniMax Media.
