Media: Microsoft believes that the release of new parts of Call of Duty immediately on Game Pass will hit the series’ income

Journalists also learned that the company is planning another increase in the cost of the Game Pass subscription

As The Verge journalists managed to find out, Microsoft has not yet made a final decision on whether to release new parts of Call of Duty directly to Game Pass. The company fears that this will seriously hit traditionally high revenue from shooter sales.

Microsoft is also considering once again increasing the price of the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription. If this happens, then new shooters in the Call of Duty series may begin to appear in the service's library.

In other Xbox news: employees of Microsoft's gaming division are worried about their future, afraid of new ones cuts and are angry at management for keeping them in the dark.
