The Iconic SP concept may become a production model

Mazda created  engineering team specializing in the development of rotary engines. The head of the company, Katsuhiro Moro, said that the decision was made after the Iconic SP concept was very well received by the public, so it can become a serial product.

The engineering group responsible for the development of rotary motors will begin its activities on February 1st. It is formed of specialists with experience in the latest engine technologies and experience in operating vehicles with Wankel-type rotary engines.
