AvtoVAZ declared May 18 a working day
AvtoVAZ announced Saturday, May 18, as a working day for the assembly lines of Lada Granta and Niva cars. The chairman of the primary trade union organization of the automobile plant, Sergei Zaitsev, spoke about this. According to him, on May 18, the Lada Granta and Niva assembly lines will work in 12-hour and 9-hour day shifts, respectively. Employees will receive pay for work on days off in accordance with the current collective agreement.
As we already wrote, AvtoVAZ is preparing for an increase in production: the plant has carried out work to modernize the production line, prepare for the release of new models and increase production capacity. In total, 8,216 different works were completed worth about 330 million rubles. For the entire current year, AvtoVAZ plans to produce 500 thousand cars, in Russia the plant intends to sell about 450 thousand cars.
