The problem lies in the front passenger seat weight sensor. Moisture may cause a short circuit, causing the front and knee airbags to deploy even when they shouldn't (if there is a child in the front passenger seat). An airbag designed for an adult can cause serious injury to a child, and to prevent this from happening, the sensors will be replaced free of charge.
Well, while Honda in the USA is fixing problems with airbags, AvtoVAZ has returned airbags to the Lada Vesta. Lada Granta will soon receive them, and then – and «Niva».
