It seems that despite early reports of Red Dead Redemption coming to PC, the game won't be releasing as soon as thought.
Recently, a note appeared in the Rockstar Launcher code indicating the imminent release of the PC version of the game. But it looks like gamers will have to wait and be patient as new information related to the “find” has emerged.
As GTA Tez2 forum user found out, the lines of code in question may have been added prematurely due to work on a new launcher branch that accidentally ended up in the public version. This suggests that references to the PC version may have appeared in developer builds rather than in a version close to the official release. This means fans will have to wait.
Take-Two Interactive, the parent company of Rockstar Games, did not deny the existence of a PC port last year, so it is more than likely that the game will be released on that platform.
