The current level of localization of the Citroen C5 Aircross crossover was revealed by the publication Drom, which recalled that the model was initially launched in Russia with zero localization.
Nevertheless, the company «Automotive Technologies» will receive partial compensation for the recycling fee — 150,241 out of 300,600 rubles — which is due for research and development work (R&D).
The manufacturer earned 1283 points for developing the assembly technology using the SKD-4 method for the Citroen C5 Aircross crossover produced in Russia. It is also reported that any Russian automaker can distribute points for R&D to cars for which this R&D was not carried out. That is, the entire amount of points for R&D applies to each model of the plant.
Kaluga plant «PSMA Rus», which resumed its work this spring. so far only the Citroen C5 Aircross crossover has been assembled, which costs 4.3 million rubles in a single configuration.
The car is equipped with a 1.6-liter turbo engine with a power of 175 horsepower, an 8-speed automatic transmission and front-wheel drive.
