It is not yet clear whether the problem is truly widespread
The problem of the Lada Vesta NG engine knocking in the cold is not new; it is noted by many car owners. But, as it turned out, the engine can not only knock: car enthusiasts report gasoline leaks. The fuel is drained into the intake manifold. And it’s even kind of good: it would be worse if it got on the hot exhaust manifold…
«Vesta NG 1.6l. 8th grade 2023 mileage 7000 km. Evaluate the sound of the internal combustion engine; in addition to the absorber valve, there is also some kind of knocking noise. I was driving to work, smelled gasoline, looked under the hood and saw a puddle of gasoline in the valley of the intake manifold of the first cylinder under the nozzle. I thought it was the injector that was leaking, but it turned out that the fuel rail hose in the rubber bracket was leaking. Maybe, of course, you need to look deeper there further towards the fitting, but I stood at idle and everything dried out. Now it doesn't leak. Strange! At the time of starting the engine it was -27C, after which I drove about 100 km», – written by one of the owners of a domestic car.
And another owner, who encountered the same problem, also wrote in the comments to this post. «Yes, I almost caught fire», – he wrote and added that it was leaking from the same hose, and the dealer replaced it with a new hose.
