Still, the difference in the number of cores is huge
The 96-core AMD Ryzen Threadripper Pro 7995WX continues to impress with overclocking results. This time, overclocker Safedisk managed to overclock the AMD flagship to a frequency of 6.25 GHz and set another record.
The CPU scored 210,702 points in Cinebench R23, which is an impressive 78% higher than the result of the same processor without overclocking.
For comparison, the Xeon W9-3495WX without overclocking scores about 72,000 points, and the record result is almost 132,500 points. By the way, the Ryzen Threadripper Pro 7995WX scores more than 161,000 points with air cooling.
The 56-core Xeon W9-3495WX will be replaced by the Xeon W9-3595WX with 64 cores, but it won’t bring anything radically new, so it’s unlikely to compete with AMD’s new product.
