The head of the Deepal brand demanded from the owners of Deepal S07 evidence of huge consumption
A new scandal is gaining momentum in China: owners of the Changan Deepal S07 hybrid crossover are complaining about high fuel consumption, which varies from 24 to 30 liters per 100 km for different drivers. And this is with a declared consumption of 5 liters.
But that's not all. The crossover is rechargeable, and according to documents it can travel two hundred kilometers on pure electricity (at least in the S07200Max version), but in reality the range without gasoline is much less. According to one of the owners of the car, on December 7, the range on pure electricity was 50–60 km, and already on December 21 it dropped to 20 km. After this, the owner decided to measure gasoline consumption, and it turned out that the car travels just over 200 km on a 45-liter tank.
Deng Chenghao, CEO of the Deepal brand, has already responded to complaints from crossover owners. He asked to record a video with evidence of huge fuel consumption. If such consumption is recorded during normal driving on the highway or in the city, the top manager will buy the faulty car and independently examine it, and the owner will be given a new car.
