It's no secret that Google has been paying Apple for a long time to ensure that the former's search engine remains the default system in the latter's smartphones. New data suggests Google paid $20 billion for this in 2022.

Neither Google nor Apple ever officially disclose this data, so it appears on the Internet very late. In this case, the information became available due to antitrust proceedings against Alphabet by the US Department of Justice.

20 billion dollars — This is a record amount in the relationship between Google and Apple. For example, in 2021, according to various sources, it was about 12-15 billion dollars.
