Several important ecosystem components are being updated
Google has released a package of functional updates that will become available to users of different versions of Android in the very near future.
The most notable of them was the Google Messages update – users will be able to edit RCS (Rich Communication Services) messages within 15 minutes of sending. The Google Messages update has already begun rolling out to all phones running Android 8 Oreo or newer.
Google also announced improvements to its Instant Hotspot feature, which will soon let you connect your Android tablet or Chromebook to your phone with one tap, without a password. You can also now switch between connected phones, tablets, or web browsers during Google Meet calls by tapping the Cast icon. All these features will begin rolling out to phones, foldables, and tablets running Android 11 and later starting June 10.
Google Home Favorites widget has arrived, allowing you to quickly view and manage your most frequently used smart home devices. Also, smartwatches running Wear OS 3 and later can launch the Google Home Favorites tile,
June 10, the Emoji Kitchen set will also receive several new sticker combinations that users can share via Gboard.
Finally, support for digital car keys is spreading more widely across vehicles, including some Mini, Mercedes-Benz and Polestar models. The digital key update is available for Android 12 and later. Support for Mini cars is already here. Mercedes-Benz support will be available on June 10th, and Polestar support will be available from June 17th to 21st.
