CD Projekt RED is not yet finished with The Witcher franchise; the sequel to Cyberpunk 2077 is also slowly being worked on
CD Projekt RED manager Adam Badowski spoke about the company’s future plans. We intend to expand the team of the next “The Witcher” to 400 people by mid-2024.
CD Projekt RED's plan assumes that the development of the new The Witcher will enter the full production stage before the end of this year .
CDPR has not specified the premiere date for the new The Witcher. According to analysts, the release could take place in 2026-2027.
CDPR also expects that by the end of 2024 the team for the sequel to Cyberpunk 2077 will expand to ~80 people. The game is still at the conceptual stage.
The company has formed a team to study AI and the possibility of its use in production. However, AI is seen as something that can help improve certain processes in game production, rather than replace humans.
