Free travel of electric vehicles on toll roads will continue in 2024

The government has extended the benefit; it will come into force again on January 19

The Russian government has extended free travel for electric vehicles on toll roads until 2024. Journalists were informed about this by the secretariat of the First Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Andrei Belousov. As indicated in the message, the government decided to extend free travel on toll sections of federal highways for individuals until 2024 — electric vehicle drivers. The benefit will resume on January 19.

According to Andrey Belousov, the experiment on free travel of electric vehicles on toll roads, which began last year, turned out to be successful: about 5 thousand motorists took advantage of this opportunity, making about 315 thousand trips. Drivers of electric vehicles can drive without paying on toll sections of the Russian highways M-1, M-3, M-4, M-11, M-12, Central Ring Road, Northern Bypass of Odintsovo, as well as the section from 15 to 58 km of the M-11 highway.
