The budget hatchback Sandero is one of the most popular models in Germany
The budget hatchback Dacia Sandero became the most popular car in February 2024 in Europe, according to JATO Dynamics. The largest markets for Sandero were Romania, Italy and Germany.
In February, 20 797 Dacia Sandero were sold in Europe; this budget car outsold the much more expensive Tesla Model Y (19 760 units, second place). In third place is the Volskwagen Golf, which recently celebrated its 50th anniversary (19 490 units).
The top 10 most popular cars in Europe in February 2024 also included: Peugeot 208 (18 476 units), Citroen C3 (17,787 units, and this is an impressive increase of 61% year-on-year in terms), Skoda Octavia (16,587 units), Toyota Yaris Cross (15,760 units), Renault Clio (15,002 units), Volkswagen T-Roc (13,975 units, the only drop in sales in the top 10 — by 11 %) and Peugeot 2008 (13,900 units).
