And the iGPU Radeon 760M turned out to be faster than the Ryzen 8600G by 40%
Moore Threads MTT S80 is one of the flagship video cards of the Chinese manufacturer: it has 4096 CUDA cores, a 256-bit bus, 16 GB of GDDR6 memory and a consumption of 255 W. And also support for the PCIe 5.0 x16 bus. On paper — all the components of, if not a top solution, then at least a confident average one. But in fact… In fact, it turned out that in Moore Threads games the MTT S80 is inferior in performance to the Radeon 760M iGPU integrated into the Ryzen 8600G.
The test was conducted by the German resource ComputerBase. Performance was compared specifically in games, and for the Threads MTT S80 this turned out to be a difficult task, since out of 11 games only four worked, and the most undemanding ones — Anno 1800, Baldur's Gate 3, Counter-Strike 2 and Dota 2.
And the second point is directly related to performance: it is, to put it mildly, lame. Based on test results in four games, the average FPS of the Moore Threads MTT S80 and the Ryzen 7 5800X processor was 42, while the Ryzen 8600G showed 67 FPS. The Core i5-12500 in conjunction with the GeForce GTX 1650 turned out to be three times faster (117 FPS).
The conclusion is simple: the Moore Threads MTT S80 is poorly suited for games, but this model may be suitable for multimedia tasks. The only question is the price.
