Cars worth $3.5 billion were delivered in four months
From the beginning of this year until April 30, deliveries of Chinese cars to Russia soared by approximately more than a third when compared with the period January-April last year.
If last year 173.7 thousand passenger cars were shipped in the first four months, then this year their number increased by 37% and amounted to 237.1 thousand units.
In January, 54.1 thousand cars were delivered, in February – 44.8 thousand cars, in March – 58.9 thousand units, in April deliveries increased to 79.4 thousand cars, which is the maximum value since November 2023.
Sales for the four months amounted to $3.5 billion, which is 27.5% more than a year earlier. In April alone, $1.2 billion worth of vehicles were delivered.
Russia is the best market in terms of volume for China, where the country ships 14.7% of cars. Mexico and Brazil, accounting for 7.4% and 6.6% of Chinese exports, rank second and third respectively.
