Dealers complain about the shortage of Russian-assembled Hyundai
An Autonews survey of Solaris dealer prices revealed noticeable discrepancies in pricing compared to recommended prices — Dealers sell Solaris (aka Hyundai) for hundreds of thousands of rubles more.
For example, in one Moscow center for a Solaris HS (Hyundai Solaris) in the basic Active Plus configuration with a 1.6-liter gasoline engine with 123 hp. and an automatic transmission they ask for 1.15 million rubles — this is 131 thousand rubles more than the recommended price.
Another example: the same dealer sells Solaris HS in the Comfort package with a 1.6-liter engine for 2.025 million rubles, and this is already 325 thousand rubles more expensive than the recommended price.
Solaris HC (Hyundai Creta) in the top Lifestyle version with a manual transmission is sold by one of the capital’s dealers for 2.816 million rubles, with its official price being 2.64 million rubles. Solaris HC with «automatic» and a 1.6-liter engine is sold for 2.7 million rubles with a recommended price of 2.499 million rubles.
«We only had three cars picked up this week. The demand for models is booming. We are waiting for the next deliveries and will contact you immediately», — one of the dealers spoke about the availability of Solaris HC.
One of the Moscow dealers sells Solaris KRX (Kia Rio X-Line) in the pre-maximum Prestige configuration for 2.315 million rubles, although the official price — 2.235 million rubles.
«Cars are dismantled instantly. This Solaris KRX was left only because the client who booked the car was not approved for a loan. I think the car will sit until the evening at most. There are a lot of requests for them», — said a car dealership employee.
The highest markup on Solaris KRX was set by a dealer near Moscow: the car in the Luxe configuration is sold for 2.88 million rubles — 743 thousand rubles more expensive than the official price.
During the conversation, almost all dealers complained about the shortage of Solaris cars. Let us remind you that according to «Avtostat-info», in April just under 1,000 Solaris machines were sold in Russia, of which the absolute majority — Solaris HS.
