The fifth major patch was recently released for Baldur's Gate 3. Players did some digging and discovered an exploit that made it easy to make money from trading.
Larian tracked this issue, 13 hotfix is designed to fix various quick ways to earn money: it is no longer possible to redeem a bag full of items for 1 gold coin; From now on, it is also impossible to sell an empty bag at the price of the item that was once stored in it.
We also fixed a certain critical error that could occur when completing the second act.
This is how the exploit worked (and works if you play on the old version).
