are being prepared for export
President of the Russian automaker AvtoVAZ Maxim Sokolov shared the company’s plans for car sales this year. According to him, in 2024 it is planned to sell about 450 thousand Lada cars in Russia. At the same time, they are going to produce about 500 thousand cars: some of them are formed as a reserve for sale at the beginning of next year, a certain amount is usually on the way or in dealer warehouses.
About 25 thousand cars are earmarked for export this year, Sokolov noted. For comparison, last year only 6.5 thousand Lada cars were sold in foreign markets, mainly in the neighboring countries. This year, the map of export supplies is planned to be expanded: at a press conference following the results of the past year, neighboring countries were named priority destinations, but it is also planned to restart sales in Latin America, Africa and the Middle East. It could be such «friendly» states like Bolivia, Libya, Jordan, Ethiopia, Iran and Vietnam.
