Robots were previously controlled remotely using virtual reality

Tesla announced that for the first time two humanoid robots, Optimus, are working autonomously at its plant. Tesla has been publishing quite a lot of information and even videos about its robots lately, but in them Optimus performed various tasks under the control of people and in laboratory conditions.

Now  according to Tesla, robots have begun to perform tasks in the factory autonomously and independently. Previously, Tesla planned to achieve this result by the end of 2024.

Tesla CEO Elon Musk recently said that Tesla's Optimus robots could go on sale as early as next year. Even earlier, Musk said that Optimus would cost “less than half a car.”  — that is, approximately $25,000.
