It concerns the monopolization of the App Store

It looks like Apple will soon be facing another major class action lawsuit. U.S. District Judge Yvonne Gonzalez Rogers approved a class-action lawsuit against Apple that potentially gives more than 100 million users the opportunity to join the lawsuit and demand compensation from the company.

At the heart of the matter — App Store. More precisely, Apple's ban on purchasing applications for iPhone and iPad outside the App Store, which allegedly leads to higher prices. In March 2022, the same judge had already refused to approve a class action, but changed her mind after the class was narrowed to include only Apple account holders who spent $10 or more on the app or in-app content.

We remind you that due to new EU legislation in this region, Apple will allow downloading of applications outside the App Store.
