Previously, Qi2 support appeared on iPhone 15, iPhone 13 and iPhone 14

When Apple released the iOS 17.4 update, one important innovation was missing from the list of announced changes. It was later noticed by enthusiasts and confirmed in the Macworld publication after conducting a series of tests.

We are talking about support for the iPhone 12 model of the Qi2 wireless charging standard. Let us remember that Qi2 support was initially built into the iPhone 15, and in December 2023, Apple released the iOS 17.2 update, which solemnly and officially brought Qi2 support to all iPhone 13 and iPhone 14 models. Now it is the turn of iPhone 12 owners to gain access to this technology. but Apple didn't make a big deal about it.

What does this mean for iPhone 12 users? They can now charge their smartphones at the same 15W power as official MagSafe chargers, even when using third-party Qi2-certified chargers.
