The team of the electric scooter rental service Whoosh reported that St. Petersburg became the first city in Russia to launch technology for determining trips for two. From today, April 9, 2024, it works on all Whoosh scooters in the city.

In previous operating seasons, the company tested technology for detecting trips for two people. As the press service said, «Antitandem» technology by Whoosh – a completely Russian development that uses artificial intelligence and machine learning methods.

The number of people on an electric scooter is detected directly during the trip. It will work regardless of their weight: an adult with a child, two teenagers, and so on. The developers emphasized that those traveling with a heavy backpack have nothing to fear — the model will react to the number of people, not to the weight.
