Only 10% of all desktop Macs
CIRP analysts have published data on the popularity of various Macs in 2023 in the United States.
Almost exactly half of all sales (51%) were from various MacBook Pro models, that is, not the cheapest Apple PCs. The MacBook Air's share is also large (39%), but it is still only second place, despite the fact that the current Air's performance is much closer to the Pro models than it was in the days of Intel processors.
Desktop PCs in total occupy only 9-10% with a small gap from each other. The iMac accounted for 4%, the Mac Pro 3%, and the Mac mini and Mac Studio each took 1%.
If we talk about laptops in more detail, you can see that sales of models with one or another screen diagonal are approximately equal for all options. There is a difference, but it is small.
