This model belongs to the premium Golden Sunflower line
At the opening of the Beijing Auto Show, Hongqi introduced the Guoya luxury executive sedan, which is available for booking by users around the world under the new Hongqi Golden Sunflower brand. Previously, the model was known as Hongqi L1. Golden Sunflower includes the most expensive and premium Hongqi models, which are analogues of Bentley and Mercedes-Maybach. The line also includes Guoyao, Guoli and Guoyue models.
It is worth noting that the headlights use DLP (Digital Light Processing) technology, which allows the headlights to provide maximum illumination of the road and display clear symbols. They can illuminate pedestrians crossing the street and darken road signs so they don't glare. Hongqi claims that the design of the taillights is borrowed from the shape of the «palace lantern», and the shape of the decorative strip is taken from the cornices of ancient Chinese palaces.
The length of the Hongqi Guoya is 5353 mm and the wheelbase is 3260 mm. It is available in 4-seater and 5-seater models. The car rides on 19-inch or 20-inch wheels. Buyers can choose between plug-in hybrids based on a 3.0- or 4.0-liter engine with an output of 290 or 360 kW. In both cases, a 9-speed automatic transmission is installed. Both systems are paired with triple lithium batteries, the characteristics of which are not specified.
The machine is equipped with a full LCD instrument panel, a large central control screen and a head-up display. The steering wheel features the Hongqi Golden Sunflower logo. The interior is decorated with plenty of wood veneer, soft leather upholstery and metal accents.
The car presented at the exhibition has two independent seats in the back row with an armrest and cup holders in the center. In addition, there is a touch screen at the front of the armrest to control vehicle functions such as heated seats, massage and air conditioning temperature.
