The production of vehicles with this configuration is scheduled for 2025
The Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant (UAZ) intends to return airbags to the equipment of its cars. The general director of the plant, Alexey Spirin, told TASS reporters about this. According to him, it is planned to return airbags to UAZ cars at the beginning of 2025.
The production of UAZ vehicles without airbags began in 2022 due to sanctions. According to the general director, in the near future our own production of passive safety systems for cars will be created on the territory of the UAZ industrial park. The corresponding agreement was concluded by Sollers PJSC (owner of UAZ) on November 29 at the International Exhibition and Forum “Russia”.
