Same as in 2023
«Aeroflot» ideally plans to put another half of the fleet through the insurance settlement process and hopes that this scheme will continue in 2024.
Group CEO Sergei Aleksandrovsky said that the company had already carried out an insurance settlement procedure for almost half of the fleet, and the volume amounted to 270 billion rubles, including 15 billion rubles, which were Aeroflot’s own funds.
«We have completed everything that we planned to do in 2023. <…> We continue the work. I hope there will be results this year too. The ideal scenario would be for insurance regulation to affect the entire fleet. But this is a question, of course, of sufficient funds, advance payment, and so on,” said Aleksandrovsky.
Last year «Aeroflot» transferred almost 100 aircraft into the ownership of a Russian legal entity.
It was previously reported that «Aeroflot» expects deliveries of MC-21 aircraft to begin at the end of 2025, and «Superjets» (Sukhoi Superjet New) should begin deliveries from the first quarter of 2026.
