A new production line is being developed for the former Russian Nissan plant. What cars will be assembled on it?

The developer is listed as EM Group

At the disposal of Sergei Tsyganov, an auto expert and the host of the Telegram channel «Russian Automobile», documents from a Chinese company collaborating with Dongfeng Liuzhou have appeared. And they say that an entire production line is being created for the former Russian Nissan plant. The development is managed by EM Group.

The document says verbatim the following: «the assembly line at the Nissan plant in St. Petersburg is being developed by our client EM Group as a promising project for the assembly of passenger electric vehicles, and we are participating in cooperation as component assembly supplier».

It’s difficult to say exactly which electric vehicles we are talking about, but since we are talking about a Dongfeng partner, it is likely that the electric vehicles will be somehow unified with the Dongfeng Liuzhou electric vehicles (these are the Forthing, Lingzhi and Joyear brands).
