Zoom performance is still unknown
While Samsung is only promoting its 200-megapixel sensors as “telephotos,” Honor is preparing the world’s first smartphone with such a 160-megapixel camera.
Its carrier will be Magic6 Pro. It will have a 160-megapixel sensor, but there are no details. Perhaps physically it will still be a sensor with a resolution of 200 megapixels, but Honor will limit its working area in such a way that only 160 megapixels will be active.
The main camera of the new product will be based on the Omnivision OV50K sensor. This is not an inch sensor, but quite large – 1/1.3-inch optical format. Interestingly, the Honor Magic5 Pro has a larger main camera sensor – 1/1.12 inches.
Insider Digital Chat Station, who shared the information, was previously the first to accurately report the characteristics and release dates of Redmi K30, K40, Xiaomi Mi 10 and Mi 11.
