Announcement already on May 14
Details have appeared on the Internet about the Google Pixel 8a smartphone, which should be presented on May 14.
The smartphone will receive SoC Tensor G3, as has already been said more than once. The AMOLED screen will remain 6.1 inches diagonal with Full HD+ resolution, and the frame rate will be 120 Hz versus 90 Hz for the Pixel 7a. At the same time, the display will boast a brightness of up to 2000 cd/m2.
The battery capacity relative to the Pixel 7a will also increase: from 4385 to 4992 mAh. The specifications will probably indicate 4500 mAh. For a compact smartphone this is a very good indicator. There will also be wireless charging.
The cameras will remain unchanged: a 64-megapixel main sensor and a 13-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens. But software is very important in Google smartphone cameras, so we can expect improvements relative to the Pixel 7a.
Like older models, the Pixel 8a should receive seven years of OS and security updates. Let us remind you that it is expected that the smartphone will not rise in price compared to its predecessor and will cost from $500.
