Multi-purpose transport for harsh operating conditions
«Ural» showed an Arctic road train at the end of last year, and now a patent has been issued for the vehicle. Images of the multi-purpose vehicle for harsh environments have appeared in the database of the Federal Institute of Industrial Property.
Last year it was reported that preparations for mass production of the car would begin this year, and the registration of a patent may indicate the firmness of the automaker’s intentions.
No new technical details have appeared. Earlier it was reported that the car has six driving wheels (three axles) and a power reserve of 500 km. Interestingly, the trailer has an active drive with a power of 98 hp, it is connected on demand and is powered by a diesel generator installed in the trailer itself. The vehicle's ground clearance is enormous; it can cross a ford up to 1.3 meters deep. The road train can operate even at −50 °C.
